stress, anxiety & trauma
2021. What an unprecedented time in history to be a woman or girl - some might even say nasty  women and girls. Never before have we had so much opportunity and yet we still navigate fierce challenges personally and politically, everywhere, all the time.

When they first come in, many of the women and girls I work with are straight-up exhausted from holding it together day in and day out, though on the surface you’d never know it. My clients are smart, strong and capable - they get it done – but after a while that tendency to white-knuckle-it, takes its toll.

Many of my clients wrestle with sleepless nights and constantly feeling on edge, they are uncomfortable in their own skin, comparing themselves to others or the impossibly high standards they’ve set for themselves. Adding salt to the wound, they beat themselves up because they’ve been told that strong women or girls should know better than to feel that way. But we know it’s not that simple.

Others of my clients feel like they are always on guard, watching their own backs. They struggle to make sense of all they’ve been through and want to feel safer, trust others, but are not sure how to get there. Meanwhile, they feel less and less connected in their relationships and don’t have the energy they’d like to focus on creative projects or just goof-off with friends and loved ones.

Well, I’m here to say: It’s a myth that we have to get by on our own.

Working from an intersectional feminist lens, I help clients reign in their fear, heal deep wounds that hold them back and step into their power so they can live their very best lives despite inevitable challenges. That’s a good thing, because you’re needed out there.

If you’re interested to know more detail about how I work with my clients, you can visit here to learn about therapy for adult women and here to learn about about therapy for girls. If you're more interested in the big picture, just know that before they came to see me, my clients were fairly certain this was it. Feeling lousy was the new normal and it had become their story. But like the women and girls I work with, you deserve to do the next chapter differently - to feel grounded,  to show up fully and unapologetically, and find your  joy ... yes, even during a pandemic. I’d argue it’s your birthright. It’s revolutionary. And I’d love to help you get there.
