 Jessika Fruchter is a psychotherapist and expressive arts therapist based in Berkeley, California.

She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and Expressive Arts Therapy from California Institute of Integral Studies and is licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences. 

Jessika brings warmth, humor and authenticity to her work , and  incorporates the healing power of the arts with Humanistic and Intersectional Feminist therapy frameworks. Jessika also integrates evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); and Motivational Interviewing (MI) techniques; as well a Narrative Therapy practices to increase resiliency and adaptive behaviors. Prior to private practice, Jessika worked with foster and probation youth, transitional-aged youth, as well as their providers and families. She has worked in residential, drug treatment, day treatment and outpatient facilities where she has provided crisis management, individual and dyadic therapy, group therapy, family therapy and multi-family group therapy. Additionally, she has led trainings for therapists, teachers and other mental health providers on a number of trauma-related issues, as well as the use of expressive arts therapy in addressing issues of culture, race and gender. Jessika currently teaches at the California Institute of Integral Studies in the Expressive Arts Therapy graduate program.
